Suit sales are climbing again as offices fill back up: John Lewis reported own-branded suit sales up 68% year-on-year, and Marks & Spencer’s suit sales have risen 18% over two years, recently selling around 37,500 suits in a single month at roughly £120 average price. Off-the-peg suiting at that price point isn’t built for daily wear, and it shows within a season. Dandylion Style tailors office suits in West Sussex from our Ardingly studio, built for five days a week, not occasional use.

A conversation about how you actually work, sitting at a desk, presenting, travelling between meetings, not just how the suit looks standing still. Meet Igor at our Ardingly studio, or we'll travel to you across Sussex.
Durable British worsted wool in navy, charcoal and mid-grey is recommended for daily wear, holding a crisp line through long days better than the lighter cloths used in occasional-wear suiting.
Hand-canvassed construction is available for clients wearing the suit several days a week, giving the chest and lapel a shape that lasts through repeated wear and dry-cleaning rather than bubbling within a season.
A thorough measuring session captures shoulder, chest, waist and posture, refined specifically for how the suit sits seated at a desk as well as standing.
Built to the agreed cloth and construction, with fittings used to refine shoulder line, sleeve length and trouser break for a genuinely professional daily finish.
Fittings confirm the final adjustments before collection. Once it's right, it's yours, built to hold its shape through daily wear rather than a single season.
Every two-piece suit is cut and fitted personally by Igor at the Ardingly studio, using British cloth chosen for how you'll actually wear it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Igor on several projects: reinventing a Ted Baker plain black coat with hot pink herringbone tweed (yes it’s as fabulous as it sounds); making a duplicate of an existing summer skirt but with bolder colours and heavier weight fabric; relining a plain H&M blazer to make it a statement piece; and various alterations and upgrades of Etsy vintage purchases. And there is always a little suggestion for “detail” here and there which really makes the difference. He is very client focused, open to new ideas, and his professionalism and the quality of work is to a very high standard, as it should be. He has a client base flung far and wide (UK, Europe, EMEA) so it’s always best to get in touch in advance to arrange appointment. And the tea and cake is always good.Posted on Google![]()

Igor has made a dress for my wife Wendy, and a three peice suit for myself, for our visit to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. From our first phone call and subsequent visits to his shop, it was an amazing experience. He made my wife feel relaxed and confident that the dress would be what she wanted. My suit was a perfect fit, complete with matching tie and pocket square, the two shirts he made are a perfect fit. We both cannot thank Igor enough for a fantastic experience. Would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who wants bespoke tailor made suit or dress.Posted on Google![]()

My experience with Igor was first class and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a bespoke suit. I have gone into more detail on my experience below. I was looking for a 3 piece suit for my wedding day and was originally looking to buy one off the rack, but hadn’t been able to find one that I was happy with the fit. I met Igor and told him what I was looking for and he very quickly narrowed down some materials for me and my partner to choose from that were within our budget. We went with the 3 piece suit, but Igor also made us a tie and pocket square out the same material as the waistcoat and also tailored a shirt I bought so that it fit me better. This was an unexpected benefit and it’s the best a shirt has fit me. I went in to see Igor a few times afterwards to check the fit of the suit and it was always a great experience. I don’t usually enjoy buying clothes but it was a pleasure dealing with Igor and I really enjoyed it. We’d just had out first child and Igor was so nice to him and accommodating of my now wife whilst she was feeding him etc. When I tried the suit on for the final time, I was so happy with what Igor had created. He bagged everything I’d need for the day in the suit bag and having a suit that looked brilliant and was made to make me look my best made the experience of having photos and videos taken that much better, I look forward to working with Igor again.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. I approached Igor for a bespoke 3 piece for my destination wedding and he did not disappoint. Consistent and reliable communication, even at weekends. He worked tirelessly to complete my suit for the deadline (with a number of alterations) and the result was immaculate finish, I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Igor!Posted on Google![]()

Well what can I say other than a wonderful experience! I needed a suit for my best friends wedding and as the Best Man decided to go all out as I just didn't have a suit that had ever worked for me. I showed Igor the styles I had in mind and we picked the fabrics. We discussed things and then he let loose. Igor is not only an amazingly creative person, but an extremely personable character. The prices might be slightly high for some, and I get that, but in all honesty you can see where the money goes. This is tailor made, not like the off the peg junk. I have a 50' chest and I'm only 5ft 10 with a 14 inch drop. It you're athletically built, off the peg suits just don't work. This whole experience was amazing and at the end of it I feel I have made a life long friend as well. Just treat yourself peeps and speak to Igor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Igor, you're a star !!!!!Posted on Google![]()

Great tailor. Very helpful, great organisation and helpful. Also gives good advice. Professional. Highest quality craft. Able to accommodate times to our busy working schedules. Managed to tailor an authentic 1940s suit in one week. Very happy with the job :) Would recommend 10/10 to anyone.Posted on Google![]()

If you're wearing it several days a week, usually yes. Off-the-peg suits at typical high-street price points are often fused rather than canvassed, which tends to bubble and separate at the chest within a season of regular wear, while hand-canvassed construction holds its shape over a longer working life.
Bespoke suits start from £1,495 and made-to-measure from £1,200, depending on construction and cloth. Igor confirms an exact price once your requirements are agreed at consultation.
Durable British worsted wool in navy, charcoal or mid-grey is generally recommended, since it resists creasing and holds a sharp line better than lighter cloths through repeated wear and dry-cleaning.
Made-to-measure, from £1,200, suits clients who want a noticeably better fit than off-the-peg on a shorter timeline and budget. Full bespoke, from £1,495, gives the most precise fit and the option of hand-canvassed construction for the longest-lasting daily wear.
Retailers including John Lewis and Marks & Spencer have both reported suit sales climbing as office attendance recovers, suggesting formal daily wear is back in regular rotation for many professionals rather than staying in the wardrobe.
