FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Explore answers to the most common questions about our bespoke tailoring services, ensuring you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

When should I book my bespoke wedding suit fitting?

We recommend starting the process at least 10–12 weeks before the wedding. This allows time for consultation, fittings, adjustments and a considered finish — without the rush.

Can you create suits for the groom, best man, and family?

Yes, we tailor suits for the entire wedding party. Each piece is individually cut and styled to suit the wearer, while maintaining a cohesive look across the group.

Do you offer styling advice for wedding suits?

Absolutely. Igor will guide you through fabric, lining, and design options based on the setting, season and tone of the day — helping you create something personal and appropriate.

What if my groomsmen live in different locations?

We can accommodate fittings at different times or locations through our Visiting Tailoring Service or virtual appointments. Swatches can be sent by post and fittings arranged to suit.

Can my suit reflect the wedding’s colour theme or setting?

Certainly. Whether you’re after a subtle nod or a more defined look, we’ll help incorporate your colour palette or setting into the cloth, lining or finishing details of the suit.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to Igor who has made a stunning tailor-made suit for my fiancé for our wedding & waistcoats & ties for the groomsmen. Not only did he make these lovely suits but also altered my wedding dress & bridesmaids dresses to be the perfect fit. He made us, our groomsmen, bridesmaids & everyone else in the family who visited his shop feel so welcome & has made the wedding planning even more special & fun!”

Lauren & Ben

“I recently had a three piece suit and shirt made by Dandylion, and I couldn’t be happier. Igor, the tailor, was really helpful to choose a suit which matched my style and budget. He kept in contact throughout to let me know how it was progressing and made sure it was ready with plenty of time before the wedding – even with a last minute request to add a waistcoat! I will definitely use Dandylion again. Highly recommended.”

Our approach to tailoring is very relaxed and we offer amazing, luxurious British fabrics – such as Tweed, Cashmere, Cotton, Linen, Wool and Mohair. We can of course tailor to your specific needs and incorporate unique designs such as quirky, funky and colourful linings to personalise our products for you.

At Dandylion Style we offer many options to tailor your suit using different grades such as hand stitching, machine stitching and half hand stitching.

Our studio is based in a small, quiet and historic village in West Sussex called ‘Ardingly’ but, knowing how busy our clients are, we can also arrange to meet at your place of work, in your home or anywhere that is more convenient for you with our “Visiting tailor” service. Dandylion Style already caters for many locations around Sussex, London, Europe and USA. Wherever we meet, you will be measured by an experienced tailor who will advise you on fittings, fabrics, linings and buttons and present you with our swatches that include the very best of British mills.
