Every casual bespoke suit in West Sussex starts with a conversation about how you'll actually wear it. smart-casual events, garden weddings, or daily wear. Meet master tailor Igor at our Ardingly studio, or we'll travel to you across Sussex, Brighton, and London. Virtual consultations suit clients further afield.
Every casual bespoke suit is cut from softer cloth than formal tailoring linen, cotton-wool blends, brushed flannel, and Donegal tweed, sourced from British mills for breathability and everyday comfort. This relaxed cloth selection is what separates genuine casual tailoring from a stiff, boardroom-ready suit built for the office.
The part most tailors gloss over. Patch pockets, a soft roll lapel, button stance, and unlined summer construction, plus a lining chosen from playful, colourful silks. Every casual bespoke suit should carry at least one relaxed detail the touch that tells you it was hand-cut for comfort, not copied off a rack.
A meticulous measuring session captures your posture, shoulder line, and the small asymmetries that make you you. From this, Igor hand-drafts a paper pattern kept on file exclusively for your garments the true foundation of a casual bespoke suit built for relaxed West Sussex living, not a rack size.
Hand-stitched over 6 to 10 weeks, using half-canvassed or unstructured construction for a shoulder that moves with you rather than against you. Every choice matters, and Igor will walk you through what each means for drape, comfort, and lifespan, so your casual bespoke suit outlasts every passing trend.
One to two fittings take place before the final reveal, because casual bespoke means the suit adapts to you, not the other way around. Once it's right, it's yours and every time you wear your West Sussex-tailored suit, you'll remember why relaxed tailoring was worth the wait.

Every two-piece suit is cut and fitted personally by Igor at the Ardingly studio, using British cloth chosen for how you'll actually wear it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Igor on several projects: reinventing a Ted Baker plain black coat with hot pink herringbone tweed (yes it’s as fabulous as it sounds); making a duplicate of an existing summer skirt but with bolder colours and heavier weight fabric; relining a plain H&M blazer to make it a statement piece; and various alterations and upgrades of Etsy vintage purchases. And there is always a little suggestion for “detail” here and there which really makes the difference. He is very client focused, open to new ideas, and his professionalism and the quality of work is to a very high standard, as it should be. He has a client base flung far and wide (UK, Europe, EMEA) so it’s always best to get in touch in advance to arrange appointment. And the tea and cake is always good.Posted on Google![]()

Igor has made a dress for my wife Wendy, and a three peice suit for myself, for our visit to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. From our first phone call and subsequent visits to his shop, it was an amazing experience. He made my wife feel relaxed and confident that the dress would be what she wanted. My suit was a perfect fit, complete with matching tie and pocket square, the two shirts he made are a perfect fit. We both cannot thank Igor enough for a fantastic experience. Would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who wants bespoke tailor made suit or dress.Posted on Google![]()

My experience with Igor was first class and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a bespoke suit. I have gone into more detail on my experience below. I was looking for a 3 piece suit for my wedding day and was originally looking to buy one off the rack, but hadn’t been able to find one that I was happy with the fit. I met Igor and told him what I was looking for and he very quickly narrowed down some materials for me and my partner to choose from that were within our budget. We went with the 3 piece suit, but Igor also made us a tie and pocket square out the same material as the waistcoat and also tailored a shirt I bought so that it fit me better. This was an unexpected benefit and it’s the best a shirt has fit me. I went in to see Igor a few times afterwards to check the fit of the suit and it was always a great experience. I don’t usually enjoy buying clothes but it was a pleasure dealing with Igor and I really enjoyed it. We’d just had out first child and Igor was so nice to him and accommodating of my now wife whilst she was feeding him etc. When I tried the suit on for the final time, I was so happy with what Igor had created. He bagged everything I’d need for the day in the suit bag and having a suit that looked brilliant and was made to make me look my best made the experience of having photos and videos taken that much better, I look forward to working with Igor again.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. I approached Igor for a bespoke 3 piece for my destination wedding and he did not disappoint. Consistent and reliable communication, even at weekends. He worked tirelessly to complete my suit for the deadline (with a number of alterations) and the result was immaculate finish, I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Igor!Posted on Google![]()

Well what can I say other than a wonderful experience! I needed a suit for my best friends wedding and as the Best Man decided to go all out as I just didn't have a suit that had ever worked for me. I showed Igor the styles I had in mind and we picked the fabrics. We discussed things and then he let loose. Igor is not only an amazingly creative person, but an extremely personable character. The prices might be slightly high for some, and I get that, but in all honesty you can see where the money goes. This is tailor made, not like the off the peg junk. I have a 50' chest and I'm only 5ft 10 with a 14 inch drop. It you're athletically built, off the peg suits just don't work. This whole experience was amazing and at the end of it I feel I have made a life long friend as well. Just treat yourself peeps and speak to Igor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Igor, you're a star !!!!!Posted on Google![]()

Casual bespoke suits at Dandylion Style start from £1,495. The final price depends on cloth choice linen and cotton-wool blends sit at the lower end, while Donegal tweed and heavier flannel cost more. Every suit is hand-cut and hand-canvassed to your own measurements at our Ardingly, West Sussex studio, so the price reflects skilled labour as much as fabric.
A casual bespoke suit uses softer cloth and a relaxed, half-canvassed or unstructured shoulder built for comfort rather than a boardroom finish. Where a business suit is cut from structured worsted wool for a sharp line, a casual bespoke suit is drafted from linen, tweed or cotton-wool blends with a softer shoulder and optional unlined construction. Both start from your own measurements at our West Sussex studio only the cloth and construction change.
A casual bespoke suit typically takes 6 to 10 weeks from first consultation to final fitting. Timelines vary with cloth availability and how many fittings you need most clients need one to two fittings to refine shoulder, sleeve and drape. Master tailor Igor confirms your exact timeline during your Ardingly consultation.
Linen, cotton-wool blends, brushed flannel and Donegal tweed are the most popular choices for a casual bespoke suit. These cloths breathe better and drape more naturally than the tight worsted wool used for business tailoring, making them well suited to Sussex's variable climate. Igor recommends a weight and weave based on how often you'll wear the suit and the season.
Yes. a casual bespoke suit works for smart-casual events, garden weddings and everyday wear across West Sussex. Because it's still bespoke, cut and hand-finished to your measurements, it reads as intentional rather than underdressed. A shirt and tie dresses it up for a wedding, while an open collar keeps it relaxed for daytime events.
