FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Explore answers to the most common questions about our bespoke tailoring services, ensuring you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

What’s included in a made to measure three-piece suit?

A three-piece suit includes a jacket, trousers, and a waistcoat — all made to your measurements and preferences. You’ll choose fabrics, linings and design details, with guidance throughout.

Can I wear a three-piece suit casually or just for formal events?

Three-piece suits can be styled for both. The waistcoat adds structure and polish, but pieces can be worn separately too — giving you versatility beyond formal occasions.

How long does a made to measure three-piece suit take?

The process usually takes around 6–8 weeks from consultation to final fitting, allowing time for tailoring, adjustments and finishing touches.

Can I choose different fabrics for the waistcoat?

Yes. You can match the waistcoat to your suit or choose a contrasting cloth for added personality — ideal for weddings, events or a subtle statement.

Will my three-piece suit be comfortable to wear all day?

Absolutely. Our made to measure suits are cut for balance and ease, using breathable British cloths. Comfort is central, whether you’re wearing it for work, events or all-day celebrations.

“When searching for a bespoke tailor to make my waistcoat for my wedding day we came across “Dandylion Style” the web site offered just what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. Igor was great, helping us pick the colours to tone with our scheme and suggesting which weight fabrics would be suitable as were we getting married in the Caribbean. We made several visits for fitting purposes and Igor always made us feel welcome, even our mad puppy was more than welcome. We also made several changes to the waistcoat during the process and each time Igor was more than happy to accommodate those changes so the finished item not only fitted perfectly but looked fabulous too so we could not have asked for more. We highly recommend Igor and Dandylion Style and would most certainly use again.”

Tina & Ken

“I recently had a three piece suit and shirt made by Dandylion, and I couldn’t be happier. Igor, the tailor, was really helpful to choose a suit which matched my style and budget. He kept in contact throughout to let me know how it was progressing and made sure it was ready with plenty of time before the wedding – even with a last minute request to add a waistcoat! I will definitely use Dandylion again. Highly recommended.”
