Wondering why a made-to-measure suit costs less than bespoke but still looks nothing like off-the-peg? Because it starts from a proven block pattern instead of a blank sheet. A made-to-measure two-piece suit in Sussex from Dandylion Style is adjusted to your exact measurements, cloth and preferences by master tailor Igor, at a faster turnaround than full bespoke. From £1,595.

Every made-to-measure two-piece suit in Sussex starts with a conversation about fit, cloth and how you'll wear it. Meet master tailor Igor at our Ardingly studio, or we'll travel to you across Sussex, Brighton and London.
Made-to-measure suits are cut from British wool and wool-blend cloths suited to business and smart-casual wear, sourced with the same care as our bespoke range. This is where your made-to-measure two-piece suit starts taking shape.
Lapel style, pocket detail, and lining choice are all adjusted to your preference, even though the base pattern is proven rather than drafted from scratch. Every made-to-measure two-piece suit still carries a personal touch.
A thorough measuring session captures chest, waist, shoulder and posture. Igor adjusts a proven block pattern against these measurements, giving a noticeably better result than off-the-peg sizing, without the full bespoke timeline.
Made over a shorter turnaround than bespoke, your made-to-measure two-piece suit is constructed with the same attention to cloth and finish, just from an adjusted pattern rather than one drafted from a blank sheet.
One to two fittings confirm the final adjustments through chest and waist. Once it's right, your made-to-measure two-piece suit is ready, giving Sussex clients quality tailoring on a faster timeline than full bespoke.
Every two-piece suit is cut and fitted personally by Igor at the Ardingly studio, using British cloth chosen for how you'll actually wear it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Igor on several projects: reinventing a Ted Baker plain black coat with hot pink herringbone tweed (yes it’s as fabulous as it sounds); making a duplicate of an existing summer skirt but with bolder colours and heavier weight fabric; relining a plain H&M blazer to make it a statement piece; and various alterations and upgrades of Etsy vintage purchases. And there is always a little suggestion for “detail” here and there which really makes the difference. He is very client focused, open to new ideas, and his professionalism and the quality of work is to a very high standard, as it should be. He has a client base flung far and wide (UK, Europe, EMEA) so it’s always best to get in touch in advance to arrange appointment. And the tea and cake is always good.Posted on Google![]()

Igor has made a dress for my wife Wendy, and a three peice suit for myself, for our visit to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. From our first phone call and subsequent visits to his shop, it was an amazing experience. He made my wife feel relaxed and confident that the dress would be what she wanted. My suit was a perfect fit, complete with matching tie and pocket square, the two shirts he made are a perfect fit. We both cannot thank Igor enough for a fantastic experience. Would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who wants bespoke tailor made suit or dress.Posted on Google![]()

My experience with Igor was first class and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a bespoke suit. I have gone into more detail on my experience below. I was looking for a 3 piece suit for my wedding day and was originally looking to buy one off the rack, but hadn’t been able to find one that I was happy with the fit. I met Igor and told him what I was looking for and he very quickly narrowed down some materials for me and my partner to choose from that were within our budget. We went with the 3 piece suit, but Igor also made us a tie and pocket square out the same material as the waistcoat and also tailored a shirt I bought so that it fit me better. This was an unexpected benefit and it’s the best a shirt has fit me. I went in to see Igor a few times afterwards to check the fit of the suit and it was always a great experience. I don’t usually enjoy buying clothes but it was a pleasure dealing with Igor and I really enjoyed it. We’d just had out first child and Igor was so nice to him and accommodating of my now wife whilst she was feeding him etc. When I tried the suit on for the final time, I was so happy with what Igor had created. He bagged everything I’d need for the day in the suit bag and having a suit that looked brilliant and was made to make me look my best made the experience of having photos and videos taken that much better, I look forward to working with Igor again.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. I approached Igor for a bespoke 3 piece for my destination wedding and he did not disappoint. Consistent and reliable communication, even at weekends. He worked tirelessly to complete my suit for the deadline (with a number of alterations) and the result was immaculate finish, I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Igor!Posted on Google![]()

Well what can I say other than a wonderful experience! I needed a suit for my best friends wedding and as the Best Man decided to go all out as I just didn't have a suit that had ever worked for me. I showed Igor the styles I had in mind and we picked the fabrics. We discussed things and then he let loose. Igor is not only an amazingly creative person, but an extremely personable character. The prices might be slightly high for some, and I get that, but in all honesty you can see where the money goes. This is tailor made, not like the off the peg junk. I have a 50' chest and I'm only 5ft 10 with a 14 inch drop. It you're athletically built, off the peg suits just don't work. This whole experience was amazing and at the end of it I feel I have made a life long friend as well. Just treat yourself peeps and speak to Igor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Igor, you're a star !!!!!Posted on Google![]()

Great tailor. Very helpful, great organisation and helpful. Also gives good advice. Professional. Highest quality craft. Able to accommodate times to our busy working schedules. Managed to tailor an authentic 1940s suit in one week. Very happy with the job :) Would recommend 10/10 to anyone.Posted on Google![]()

Made-to-measure adjusts an existing block pattern to your measurements; bespoke drafts a pattern from scratch. A made-to-measure two-piece suit in Sussex still fits far better than off-the-peg, and costs less and takes less time than bespoke, since Igor is adjusting a proven pattern rather than starting from a blank sheet.
Made-to-measure two-piece suits at Dandylion Style start from £1,595. Price depends on cloth choice, with British wool and wool-blend options available for business and smart-casual wear at our Ardingly studio.
Typically faster than bespoke, with one to two fittings rather than two to three. Because the pattern starts from a proven block rather than being hand-drafted from scratch, a made-to-measure two-piece suit in Sussex has a shorter turnaround for clients who need a quicker result.
It fits significantly better than off-the-peg, though not quite to the same degree as full bespoke. Adjusting a block pattern accounts for your measurements and posture, but a fully bespoke suit, drafted from your own pattern with no starting template, still offers the most precise fit available.
Clients who want a noticeably better fit than off-the-peg, on a shorter timeline or budget than full bespoke. It's a practical middle ground for Sussex clients who want quality tailoring without the full bespoke lead time, while bespoke remains the choice for those wanting the most precise, individually drafted fit.
