Ever notice how “matching” groomsmen suits in wedding photos rarely fit anyone in the group particularly well? That’s because hire suits are sized off a rack, not a person. Dandylion Style hand-cuts groomsmen suits in West Sussex from each man’s own measurements, in coordinated cloth chosen to complement the groom, not just copy him. From £1,395 per suit.

Every set of groomsmen suits in West Sussex starts with a group conversation about cloth, colour and how formal the day should feel. Igor meets the groom first at our Ardingly studio, then fits each groomsman individually, or travels to you across Sussex, Brighton and London.
Groomsmen suits are cut from British wool, herringbone tweed, or linen-blends chosen to complement, not replicate, the groom's own cloth. Sourced from Huddersfield and West Yorkshire mills, this is where the coordinated wedding-party look comes together without matching lookalike suits.
The part most hire shops skip entirely. Lapel width, button stance, and pocket style are kept consistent across the group for a cohesive photo, while lining colour can vary man to man. Every set of groomsmen suits should still let each groomsman feel like himself.
A meticulous measuring session for each groomsman captures posture, shoulder line, and the asymmetries a hire suit ignores entirely. From this, Igor hand-drafts an individual paper pattern per man, kept on file, so no one is squeezed into the nearest stock size.
Hand-stitched over 6–8 weeks per group, with construction choices explained to the groom upfront so the whole party's suits are built to the same standard. This is what makes bespoke groomsmen suits hold their shape through a full day of standing, dancing and photos.
Two to three fittings per groomsman take place ahead of the big day, scheduled around the group's availability. Once every suit is right, the wedding party wears West Sussex-tailored groomsmen suits that actually fit, not just match.
Every two-piece suit is cut and fitted personally by Igor at the Ardingly studio, using British cloth chosen for how you'll actually wear it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Igor on several projects: reinventing a Ted Baker plain black coat with hot pink herringbone tweed (yes it’s as fabulous as it sounds); making a duplicate of an existing summer skirt but with bolder colours and heavier weight fabric; relining a plain H&M blazer to make it a statement piece; and various alterations and upgrades of Etsy vintage purchases. And there is always a little suggestion for “detail” here and there which really makes the difference. He is very client focused, open to new ideas, and his professionalism and the quality of work is to a very high standard, as it should be. He has a client base flung far and wide (UK, Europe, EMEA) so it’s always best to get in touch in advance to arrange appointment. And the tea and cake is always good.Posted on Google![]()

Igor has made a dress for my wife Wendy, and a three peice suit for myself, for our visit to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. From our first phone call and subsequent visits to his shop, it was an amazing experience. He made my wife feel relaxed and confident that the dress would be what she wanted. My suit was a perfect fit, complete with matching tie and pocket square, the two shirts he made are a perfect fit. We both cannot thank Igor enough for a fantastic experience. Would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who wants bespoke tailor made suit or dress.Posted on Google![]()

My experience with Igor was first class and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a bespoke suit. I have gone into more detail on my experience below. I was looking for a 3 piece suit for my wedding day and was originally looking to buy one off the rack, but hadn’t been able to find one that I was happy with the fit. I met Igor and told him what I was looking for and he very quickly narrowed down some materials for me and my partner to choose from that were within our budget. We went with the 3 piece suit, but Igor also made us a tie and pocket square out the same material as the waistcoat and also tailored a shirt I bought so that it fit me better. This was an unexpected benefit and it’s the best a shirt has fit me. I went in to see Igor a few times afterwards to check the fit of the suit and it was always a great experience. I don’t usually enjoy buying clothes but it was a pleasure dealing with Igor and I really enjoyed it. We’d just had out first child and Igor was so nice to him and accommodating of my now wife whilst she was feeding him etc. When I tried the suit on for the final time, I was so happy with what Igor had created. He bagged everything I’d need for the day in the suit bag and having a suit that looked brilliant and was made to make me look my best made the experience of having photos and videos taken that much better, I look forward to working with Igor again.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. I approached Igor for a bespoke 3 piece for my destination wedding and he did not disappoint. Consistent and reliable communication, even at weekends. He worked tirelessly to complete my suit for the deadline (with a number of alterations) and the result was immaculate finish, I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Igor!Posted on Google![]()

Well what can I say other than a wonderful experience! I needed a suit for my best friends wedding and as the Best Man decided to go all out as I just didn't have a suit that had ever worked for me. I showed Igor the styles I had in mind and we picked the fabrics. We discussed things and then he let loose. Igor is not only an amazingly creative person, but an extremely personable character. The prices might be slightly high for some, and I get that, but in all honesty you can see where the money goes. This is tailor made, not like the off the peg junk. I have a 50' chest and I'm only 5ft 10 with a 14 inch drop. It you're athletically built, off the peg suits just don't work. This whole experience was amazing and at the end of it I feel I have made a life long friend as well. Just treat yourself peeps and speak to Igor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Igor, you're a star !!!!!Posted on Google![]()

Bespoke groomsmen suits start from £1,395 per suit, the same as our standard two-piece bespoke suit. Cost depends on cloth choice, and coordinating several groomsmen together doesn't change the per-suit price, since each man's suit is still individually hand-drafted at our Ardingly studio.
No, complementary rather than identical is the more flattering approach. A slightly different shade, cloth weight, or waistcoat detail on the groomsmen sets the groom apart in photos while keeping the wedding party visually coordinated across West Sussex venues.
Buying bespoke costs more upfront but fits properly and is kept afterwards. A hire suit is sized to the nearest stock option and returned after one wear, while a bespoke groomsmen suit is hand-cut to each man's own measurements and becomes a suit he can wear again long after the wedding.
Yes, Dandylion Style measures groomsmen individually, wherever they're based. We fit groomsmen at our Ardingly studio, through visiting appointments across Sussex, Brighton and London, or via a virtual consultation for anyone travelling in for the wedding itself.
Book 4 to 6 months before the wedding, alongside the groom's own suit. This allows time for each groomsman's fittings and for cloth availability, especially if the group is choosing a less common tweed or wedding-season colour.
