Think a rental tuxedo and a bespoke one look the same in photos? Look closer at the shoulder. Ours is hand-drafted from your own measurements and hand-canvassed to hold its shape all night, not padded to fake it. A true bespoke tuxedo in West Sussex, built at our Ardingly studio for weddings, galas and black-tie events.

Every bespoke tuxedo in West Sussex starts with a conversation about the event, not a tape measure. Meet master tailor Igor, 17+ years of experience, at our Ardingly studio, or we'll travel to you across Sussex, Brighton and London. Virtual consultations work well for black-tie clients further afield.
Every bespoke tuxedo is cut from barathea wool or midnight-blue mohair, sourced from British mills and chosen for how it holds its lustre under evening light. Silk facings and covered buttons are selected at this stage too. This is where your dinner jacket's character begins.
The part most tailors gloss over. Peak lapel or shawl collar, silk facing width, button stance and satin trouser stripe, plus jetted or covered pockets. Every bespoke tuxedo should carry at least one detail that's unmistakably yours, not lifted from a rental rack.
A meticulous measuring session captures your posture, your shoulder line and the small asymmetries that make you you. From this, Igor hand-drafts a paper pattern kept on file exclusively for your garments the true foundation of a bespoke tuxedo built for West Sussex black-tie life.
Hand-stitched over 8 to 12 weeks, using your preferred full hand, machine, or half-hand finishing. Every choice matters, and Igor will walk you through what each means for feel, fit and lifespan, so your bespoke tuxedo's canvassed chest holds its shape all evening across Sussex.
Two to three fittings take place before the final reveal, because bespoke means the jacket adjusts to you, not the other way around. Once it's right, it's yours and every West Sussex black-tie event you wear it to, you'll remember why it was worth the wait.

Every two-piece suit is cut and fitted personally by Igor at the Ardingly studio, using British cloth chosen for how you'll actually wear it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Igor on several projects: reinventing a Ted Baker plain black coat with hot pink herringbone tweed (yes it’s as fabulous as it sounds); making a duplicate of an existing summer skirt but with bolder colours and heavier weight fabric; relining a plain H&M blazer to make it a statement piece; and various alterations and upgrades of Etsy vintage purchases. And there is always a little suggestion for “detail” here and there which really makes the difference. He is very client focused, open to new ideas, and his professionalism and the quality of work is to a very high standard, as it should be. He has a client base flung far and wide (UK, Europe, EMEA) so it’s always best to get in touch in advance to arrange appointment. And the tea and cake is always good.Posted on Google![]()

Igor has made a dress for my wife Wendy, and a three peice suit for myself, for our visit to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party. From our first phone call and subsequent visits to his shop, it was an amazing experience. He made my wife feel relaxed and confident that the dress would be what she wanted. My suit was a perfect fit, complete with matching tie and pocket square, the two shirts he made are a perfect fit. We both cannot thank Igor enough for a fantastic experience. Would thoroughly recommend him to anybody who wants bespoke tailor made suit or dress.Posted on Google![]()

My experience with Igor was first class and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a bespoke suit. I have gone into more detail on my experience below. I was looking for a 3 piece suit for my wedding day and was originally looking to buy one off the rack, but hadn’t been able to find one that I was happy with the fit. I met Igor and told him what I was looking for and he very quickly narrowed down some materials for me and my partner to choose from that were within our budget. We went with the 3 piece suit, but Igor also made us a tie and pocket square out the same material as the waistcoat and also tailored a shirt I bought so that it fit me better. This was an unexpected benefit and it’s the best a shirt has fit me. I went in to see Igor a few times afterwards to check the fit of the suit and it was always a great experience. I don’t usually enjoy buying clothes but it was a pleasure dealing with Igor and I really enjoyed it. We’d just had out first child and Igor was so nice to him and accommodating of my now wife whilst she was feeding him etc. When I tried the suit on for the final time, I was so happy with what Igor had created. He bagged everything I’d need for the day in the suit bag and having a suit that looked brilliant and was made to make me look my best made the experience of having photos and videos taken that much better, I look forward to working with Igor again.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. I approached Igor for a bespoke 3 piece for my destination wedding and he did not disappoint. Consistent and reliable communication, even at weekends. He worked tirelessly to complete my suit for the deadline (with a number of alterations) and the result was immaculate finish, I could not have been more pleased. Thank you Igor!Posted on Google![]()

Well what can I say other than a wonderful experience! I needed a suit for my best friends wedding and as the Best Man decided to go all out as I just didn't have a suit that had ever worked for me. I showed Igor the styles I had in mind and we picked the fabrics. We discussed things and then he let loose. Igor is not only an amazingly creative person, but an extremely personable character. The prices might be slightly high for some, and I get that, but in all honesty you can see where the money goes. This is tailor made, not like the off the peg junk. I have a 50' chest and I'm only 5ft 10 with a 14 inch drop. It you're athletically built, off the peg suits just don't work. This whole experience was amazing and at the end of it I feel I have made a life long friend as well. Just treat yourself peeps and speak to Igor. Thank you, thank you, thank you Igor, you're a star !!!!!Posted on Google![]()

A bespoke tuxedo is cut from your own measurements and yours to keep; a rental is a stock size borrowed for the night. At Dandylion Style, every bespoke tuxedo in West Sussex starts with a hand-drafted pattern, not an adjusted rental size, so the shoulder, sleeve pitch and chest actually fit your body. It's built to be worn again for years, not returned Monday morning.
Bespoke tuxedo pricing at Dandylion Style starts from £1795, depending on cloth and detailing. The final price reflects the cloth barathea wool or midnight-blue mohair plus facings, canvassing and the number of fittings involved. Book a consultation at our Ardingly studio for an exact quote based on what you want.
A bespoke tuxedo typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from first consultation to final fitting. That covers pattern drafting, hand-stitching the canvassed chest, and two to three fittings to refine the fit before the final press. If you're working to a wedding or event date, we'd recommend starting the process at least three months out.
Bespoke means a pattern cut from scratch for you; made-to-measure means an existing block pattern adjusted to your size. A bespoke tuxedo at our Ardingly studio starts with nothing Igor drafts your pattern from your measurements alone while made-to-measure starts from a standard template. Bespoke gives a closer fit and is kept on file for future orders.
Most bespoke tuxedos need two to three fittings before the final garment. Each fitting refines shoulder line, sleeve length and trouser break, since a bespoke build is meant to adjust to you rather than the other way around. Fittings can be held at our Ardingly studio or arranged as a visiting appointment across West Sussex.
